Jo - you freakin' crack me up!!!! lol I didn't even think about the garter thing. I don't even care if I have one but my aunt wants to make me one. I don't have plans on doing a garter toss.

Wow, i just found this thread, thanks ladies. I am a size 16/18 and it took me forever to find a dress that I could try. I was just about to give up when i found a size 14 that i could squeeze into and now i am crossing my fingers that the dress which I ordered in size 18 will look as great as the one i tried (thank god for ties at the back). My dress arrives next week so pray for me...thank God i still have a year.

Thank you all for great links and advice. It's good to know that i am not the only one facing the "women with curves" issues.

Joanna, your day is coming so quick! I know how you probably feel, I have been an emotional ball of craziness...I listened to our wedding soundtrack and was also bawling, wondering how the heck am I going to not look like a baby!

It is definitley exciting and I can't believe it is finally here! Yay! What day do you leave?

Ugghhh!!

I had an off day trying on bathing suits at target. sad.gif

I really want to find a Bandeau for the wedding. The newport did not work out for me. Looked like a potato sack on me with the big boobs then it just hung down.

So I go to target and try on a bunch of the maroma bandaeus (suit and tankini) and the bottoms just were tight on the leg and too high. Then the tops all looked like my boobs were at my belly button and squished flat and sideways. I did find an OK one but still very saggy!

I just feel BLAHHHHH!!!

Good new super cute skirty bottomy thing to go with the newport news pink underwire tank i got earlier in the thread.

Swimwear with be the death of me!

Isn't it awful? I hate bathing suits. For some reason though, I can look in the mirror when I'm wearing a good pushup bra and those hipster style undies and it looks pretty darn cute. I keep wondering why bathing suits can't just fit like a great bra, and the bathing suit bottom can't be cut like hipster undies. If they were, I would have no problem! Maybe one day if I get a job after I'm done with school, I can go and design stuff that fits us properly!

BTW, good luck with your wedding Joanna!

why not try!!!! It sucks ordering from a catalog. Cus u cant try it on... But give it a shot!! Look at the measurements as well.... We leave on Wed! Yeah!!! I take in swimsuits sometimes if they dont fit correctly... just cinch an area or two... its hard getting good support... Also try suits from Aliciasimone.com. I got one there that I love... Not shape FX but still a great suit...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
