The guy is probably fat! lol That totally insults me and I didn't even get the email. That photographer is totally disrespectful in all aspects and that's not right!

You have every right to be upset about this. I cannot believe he has the balls to even send an email like that! And he probably thinks there is nothing wrong with it!

Take some time to compose a great reply -- and be sure to tell him his idiocy is posted on a forum where everyone can see.

steph OMG WTF?!?! what an ASSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!

he could have just said he wasn't interested. what a rude facker! i am as insulted by the questions about your budget as i am by the weight comments! i would definitely tell him that his response will be posted on this forum and that reaction you've gotten from many fellow brides is that he was extremely rude and unprofessional. i would thank him for being so honest and blunt in his reply, because it let you know that he is not the type of individual you would ever want to associate with, let alone on your most important wedding day. also, let him know the facts: a great photographer could create stunning images no matter what the budget of the wedding, no matter what the couple looks like! the reality is that NOT every bride is a size 2 with a platinum-wedding budget. he would actually probably get MORE business by having more realistic-looking women in his portfolio, as women are more likely to be able to relate and picture what their own wedding could look like that way.

I just made a post about this in the Bride Referal section. I will email him back this afternoon. My FI was furious! He told me that if I didn't do something about it he would! LOL.

I didn't think I was crazy, I appreciate the support ladies! You're all the best! *big hugs*

As a photographer, I understand wanting to build a great portfolio, but I've never even considered it before a shoot. I handle the editing and if I shoot a "WOW" photo then I look at it as something for a portfolio shot. This guy is an idiot!! No worries, if he continues that attitude, he'll be out of work in no time!

That said, I'd reply that I have an unlimited budget and send him a photo of some random model and string him along for a while. :)

OMFG!!!! That guy is a douche bag!!!! I can NOT believe he would ask those things, that is so unprofessional, and RUDE! Both budget and looks questions. Also, what would a budget have to do with how beautiful a beach looks like?!? I agree, tell him a great photographer shoud be able to get stunning photos no matter the background. I would definetly not want someone like him with me on my wedding day! He sounds like a high snob.

I say we all tell him what a lame, rude, unprofessional jerk he is on his "contact me" section of his website!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
