Lisa - you are SOOO not the only one. i have been engaged for a year, and i thought that would be the big motivator to lose weight. i am down a whopping 20lbs in that year. i am dissapointed in myself and i get can't get up the motivation to stick to a diet.

i need to get my head in the game, but am not sure how to do it.

you're not alone, lisa! i gained 30 lbs in the year since my wedding, and just keep saying i need to do something about it ... yet no motivation whatsoever. not even the fact that i am about to go hot-tubbing with a bunch of skinny biatches from the SB at mander's house. ugh ... bathing suit ... kill me now.

thanks, Heather :)

i am, glad i am 20lbs on my way....but i still have so far to go.

i have set a more attainable goal of just being below 200lbs before the wedding, but that is still 45lbs in 7 months....so i have got to get busy!!

175 would be ideal for me, but i don't know if that's gonna happen.

Hey! I need to lose 38 pounds to be under 200 pounds by my wedding too, which is in 6 and a half months! Congrats on the 20lbs down, I've lost 40lbs in the last 4 months by using caloriecount.about.com (it's free) It's really helped.

Anyway, as someone who is finally losing weight after struggling with it my entire life, my advice is to not try to drastically change your lifestyle. Eat exactly the same, but just eat less. I still eat ice cream and cookies and even fast food sometimes, but now instead of devouring an entire value meal I eat half a cheeseburger and a few fries. I realized that I am probably never going to be a "healthy" eater, so I just had to learn to cut back. Hope this helps.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
