Ha, I watched that last night! An 80 year old woman got her first tattoo. If she can do it, so can I!

Is it true that color is worse than black and white?

Actually I heard the oppoiste, that black and white hurt more because they use one needle versus several small ones for color.

Color tattoos require touch-ups and fade... black & grey do not! I prefer the one-time needling!

How often do they need touch ups (or... how quickly do they fade?)

Even black one's need touch ups, they start to go a little purplish grey colour after some years. I didn't feel the difference in pain from coulor to black. I have it all solid black ones, coloured ones, small ones, large ones, some on bones, and ones in tougher areas. They all hurt, but small ones don't take long, so they are easy to endure no matter where they are, it's the large ones that take forever that are the one's to worry about. The outline is always the hardest part, after that everything goes fairly quickly. Have you ever been stung by a bee, it kinda feels like that, or when a cigerette tuches you by accident. That is the closest I can describe the pain.

Courtney the one on my side was the toughest, it even hurt more than the one down my spinal cord, so no the bone doesn't always hurt the most.

i have a tribal heart tattoo on my right shoulder. I did it when I was in Cancun. My nephew who was 15 at the time picked it out for me.
I'll find a good pic and let you girls see.

                    LoL too funny!

I didn't think I did either, but I keep going back and getting more!

Go for it, I promise the pain is short lived.

I must say that your Avatar reminds me of Silar from the "Heroes" show.
