Ocean Crystal Chapel @ Hilton Hawaiian Village

I absolutely LOVE this venue (from what I've seen online anyway), but am having the hardest time finding anyone who has actually used it. When I google, all I find are advertisements from the management company, Best Bridal! Also, the Chapel is having a discount from $4500 to $2000 if booked by the end of May... is this type of promotion typical or some sort of warning that they are not popular or that I should push for better pricing?

Does anyone have experience to share about the chapel, gazebo, grounds, or Village? It would be much appreciated!!

We were offered 90 minutes and an album free with the discount package (must book by end of May). We might buy an additional package to cover cocktail hour and reception. They use La Vie Photography, Œ‹¥ŽÊ^@La-vie Factory - you can see samples from their different photographers, some look better than others, but generally nice and prices seem to be on par with other companies. We went to the Best Bridal Tokyo branch and looked through their sample albums, which were great. We hated the video dvd though, it was so cheesy, haha!!, so I don't think we'll use their videographer - but you can judge for yourself online - IMF Visions - Hawaii Wedding Videography

omg. why didn't i think of googling their name LOL! f'real u are such a great help! i looked at the first video, and i think i might have to agree... they're just not 'our style'. kinda reminds me of a video that would be playing in the background of a karoake song.

so yeah anyways, i finally got a hold of them & emailed the manager Joann. she's supposed to send me some info about reservations, confirmation & all that.. did you get yours in the mail or thru email? I'm sooo impatient!!

We have been corresponding completely through e-mail with Joann (except I had to mail in the signed contract and a check for security deposit) because we have a 15 hour time difference! haha! I have to say, sometimes she replies within minutes, and other times it's days. I'd say just be patient, but I guess it depends on how much planning time you have!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
