Are we actually allowed to give names here? Sorry, I'm new and on the other forums I'm on it is not allowed to give out names of people/businesses. I've booked a great photographer for my wedding in Jamaica....she's doing our DVD also. If you want to PM me or email me at mallen1@ch2m.com I will be glad to give you her email address and links to her websites so you can see some of her work. She lives in Jamaica....which I think is a plus. Also, she doesn't have set photo packages or prices......she customizes her packages for each couple and will work with whatever budget you have. She came highly recommended to me....and after emailing and talking on the phone with her, I know we made the right decision.

you can absolutley give out a vendor's name that you used - we're all about sharing helpful info. like that!

I would LOVE if you could post her website, I haven't even started looking at photographers and not sure if we will hire any, but I'd love to check out the local talent and see my options...

Becareful if you watch the videos....especially Karen & Anthony's ...... we cried when we watched it....that was when I knew I had to have Diana do our wedding. We've got Bellsouth Extreme 6.0, and can see the videos fine....when we first got on her sight, we had a slower connection and it just got frustrating trying to watch them. FH says anything slower than 50mbs - video will be jumpy.

 

Anyway, that day, I filled out the form that is on her website, and I had already asked about her on another forum I'm on and someone emailed me her direct email address...so I sent her an email also. That night, she called me....it was a little hard to understand her....she has a strong Jamaican accent! She is a delightful person.....we email every now and then just to chit chat. I not only have the best photographer in Jamaica doing my wedding.....but I've made a life long friend also.

 

The other board I mentioned is actually the Couples Message Board......we're getting married at Couples Swept Away...and there are I think a total of 4 Couples Resorts in Jamaica and they have their own message board to help us newbies when we get there, so it's not directed toward weddings....every now & then someone will share their wedding experience at Couples and some photos....that's how I found Diana.

 

If anyone wants to see more of her photos, let me know. I jump on every bride I find on the Couples board and ask to see their photos and find out who took them, and Diana has done tons of them, and I have several, and have permission to share them with others, so don't hesitate.....just ask.

We originally were gonna go with Diana and YES she is a wonderful person, however keep in mind, her companies background is "video" and we were seeking a certain photojournalistic style of pictures, so decided to go with our chosen company..MluvsB, congrats, we have chosen the same resort and yes the Couples website is awesome, Good Luck with your special day

MluvsB - I'm so happy to hear that Diana is good! We're getting married about 10 miles outside of Negril, and our resort uses her. We weren't really given an option on the photographer, so hearing that she's great is definitely a relief! Thanks!
