Displaced Mexico bride looking for last minute Jamaican photographer?

Hi everyone,

I was supposed to leave this Saturday for my wedding in Mexico. Our vacation company has cancelled all flights to Mexico for the month of May, and therefore we had to postpone our wedding.

We have rebooked for June 2nd at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites in Montego Bay, Jamaica. I had arranged for a professional photographer to shoot my wedding in Mexico and I'm hoping I can pull some sort of miracle out of a hat and find an equally amazing Jamaican photographer.

If anyone can offer any advice, I would really appreciate it. I'm going to start browsing the Jamaica vendor threads as much as I can to see if I can find anything...

Our price range is ~ $2000.

Thanks in advance! Life can be a bit crazy, can't it?!

I spent countless hours researching photographers and made a final decision on Misha Earle. She will be photgraphing my wedding in Montego Bay and my TTD at Dunns River Falls. Her posted prices for 8 hours and to photograph both sessions is $2,200.

She is absolutely wonderful. She's really sweet and passionate about her work. She usually returns emails within 48 hours because she lives on the outskirts of the city and has to travel to check her email.

If you need a response sooner rather than later please email me at mary@marybrealty.com and I can give you her personal cell number.

If you contact her please let her know that Mary referred you.

Wow, that is so great. Cudos to all those photogs!! Those poor displaced brides need all the stress relief they can get and that just lightens the load a little I'm sure. This forum is so amazing for organizing stuff like that!

I know that Marshall1980 used someone based in Montego Bay and was VERY happy with them. Here's her review...http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t40732

Good luck!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
