Do you know the Merrigans in PAB? Or maybe Lynnette King from Fox Roost?? I went to school with her!

Small world!
You may know FI, he's actually 5 years older than I am. I don't think he's related to anyone named Monique though... His family are actually the only Lewis' that he's related to in Corner Brook. His first name is Marc and he's about 6'8".

And I know of the Merrigans, Gerard Merrigan rings a bell. And my mom knows Lynnette actually, I know of her. My mom is actually a Billard from Margaree :) It's a very small world indeed lol

Hehe, I love NL! I often find that when you tell someone you are from NL they always ask you if you know such and such, like just because you're from NL you should know everyone, but it is so true! I think we should start a NL thread at some point and see how we might all be connected :)

I am with you Heather, I love love love Toronto. I loved living there and was so sad to move away, but I did it for my family and I don't regret it.

Luckily I am still close enough where I can visit Toronto anytime I want to. In fact if I want to do fun cool things, Toronto is always the first place I think of because there is always so much going on at all times.

I usually don't ask unless I know the area that they are from! It's so funny because you just never know!! Turns out my step-grandfather & my DH's g.father worked in the mines in Buchans together!! That's a small world!!!

I think we've already turned THIS thread into the Newfie thread!!! I dont' feel bad either because Cabo2010 is banned for being a crazy BDW stalker!!

Mods...can you change the thread title to "The Newfoundland thread formerly the Alberta vs. Ontario thread"huh.gif

Thank you! :)

Yeah, he went to Herdman. Everyone knows him as the big guy that was always found at the Plaza lol

It's funny how usually when you meet another Newfie, there's at least ONE person that you both know lol Even moving here to St. John's, I have at least one person in common with EVERYONE in my class lol It's hilarious!

And I agree with changing this to a Newfoundland thread, we've already hijacked the heck out of it anyway lol

I was born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Went to university in Toronto. Lived and worked in Pickering and Windsor. Moved to BC and worked in Williams Lake. Moved just north of New York. Went back to NS. Then went to Philly. Finally settled in Sherwood Park just east of Edmonton. I can honestly say that I always found something I liked about all of the cities I've lived in but I call Sherwood Park home. I love that the cost of living is so great here. I know that the home I have here I wouldn't have in any other place. One thing that does bug me is the fact that everything here is done at a slow pace. Fortunately, I am used to that after growing up on Cape Breton. Have to say though...after going back last year for a visit I don't think I'll EVER live there again. Just too small town for me. I like my privacy.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
