No problem with questions!! I really love helping all of you out! I didn't plan on having a welcome dinner but we wanted a time to give out our welcome bags. We got there at like 9:00pm on Saturday night so we asked everyone to meet us at Mahoe bay for lunch at 12:30 the next day. The next morning DH and I put the welcome bag stuff together and then at 12:15 he went back to our room to get the bags and I went to Mahoe Bay to see if we could get some seats together.

I walked into the restaurant and saw that there weren't many open tables, especially 23 seats together. So I approached a waiter and told him I was here for my wedding and was hoping to have lunch with my 23 guests. He confirmed that we needed 23 seats together and grabbed another waiter and lead me upstairs where they set up a long table with 23 chairs. It was perfect. They had us kind of separated from the rest of the restaurant so it was easy to chat with everyone and then when everyone was eating dessert we got up and thanked them for being here and gave out our welcome bags. They were a huge hit! They especially loved the flip flops!

Don't hesitate to ask any more questions!!

So happy to read you had a wonderful wedding and week in Jamaica despite a few mishaps. You looked beautiful and I love your dress! I knew it was going to be pretty by the way you described it. The shoes were perfect for it.

Congratulations and here's wishing you both a beautiful future together!

Thanks shellb! I can't wait to read your review and see some pics too!...I know what you mean about the shoes...no matter what shoes I wear they kill my feet after an hour or two. I was definately trying to suck it up but they hurt!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
