ROR - Wedding May 8th - RAIN

Recommended Posts

HELP! I just checked the 10 day forecast out of curiosity for Ocho Rios (we leave next week) and it shows rain every, single day leading up to the day we get there. My hope is that it will move out but I just found out May is a rainy month sad.gif I could CRY!

For anyone that's been - do you know what back up plans are for weddings if it rains? Has anyone been there while it was raining? Does it rain all day long? I am so upset! I knew that there was a chance it could rain, but looking at the forecast has me so depressed right now! Every day? What if we're stuck in our hotel rooms the whole time? We paid all that money to be stuck in the hotel. I'm so bummed sad.gif(((

Hi Elisa1126, we have been to the carribean a few times now and it has always given out rain, but when we got ther it was brilliant sunshine, but when it did rain it was only for about 5 mins and it was over, people didn't even get out of the pool. I have also read a few reviews where the bride have said it has rain and they have moved evrything inside and they said it didn't ruin the day. Good luck x

If it rains, sometimes they will wait to see if it passes. This happened to the wedding before ours ..and it did!!

If they decide to move your wedding, it will be in the Mammee Bay restaurant.

Here's hoping it behaves for you!!!

We had a lot of rain in our second week in Jamaica.

Thank you ladies soooooo much!!! I could have cried last night when I saw the forecast. Okay - I'm going to stop worrying about it. My fiance' is already in Jamaica mode - he's like "no worries mon" LOL!!! But I can't help it! I agree with you all that it should just be a quick rain here and there. And it's not like it's going to be cold and miserable. And DRBrainfreeze that is so cool that you will be there the same time as me! Maybe we'll run into each other!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
