We haven't heard from my brother because he is a nurse and can't answer his phone at work. He will prob. just follow along with my SIL like a p-word! haha! I haven't talked to my friend because she is an elementary teacher and she is at school teaching now. Jackie I hope that no one backs out on you! XOXO I love y'all all!

We will be there as long as we can get there - I think all of our guests are on board too and no one is worried enough to call the trip off. Back up plan - Vegas baby!

Just remember - we will all be just as married 10 years from now as we would be if this all hadn't come about. And will have a great story to tell - Swine Flu ruined/almost ruined/postponed our wedding! Try to keep the humor alive.... :) It will all be ok...

The joke going around is " my something blue" can be my baby blue surgical mask! :) Actually goes quite well with the decor ...

Lauren - I'm with you all the way!! My guests have the same attitude and I even have the same back up plan (not that I've actually looked into it at all). Good luck to all of us!

LOL I hope they don't back out on me either!!!! I just have a feeling that it is coming! My lil-sis (MOH) told me today that if the swine flu is still around in July that her FI said she can't come! sad.gif I'm soo bummed. I'm not really mad at her cause she's prego so she has a good reason to be really concerned. My stepdad is really worried but my mom isn't and he'll do whatever my mom wants. Its just on my side of the family only my sis, mom & stepdad and a cousin are coming. But I'm going to check w/ her right now if she is still planning on it. joe's family, i'm just afraid they are going to quietly back out sad.gif

Oh and by the way Desiree "Beach Babe" so cute!
We have 3 months still why is this happening to us!

I absolutely love that...it's hilarious!!!

On a more serious note...my heart goes out to each and every one of you who has been affected by this situation!!

To all the Canadian brides...I am so sorry that the airline industry has taken such drastic measures...oh my goodness I would go through the roof!! I wish you all the best and hope that you will all find "paradise" in your backup plans.

To Tylersgirl...OMG...focus on the friends and family that are there for you because I would be livid with the other ones!! Unfriggenbelievable!!

To all of the other brides who are going through the whole "what if" ordeal and wondering who will go / not go...I feel for you all and can totally relate. We have JUST put the word out of our plans. Just mailed the "save the dates" and package information...and now this?!?! Seriously...who is going to book a Mexican vacation with all of this nonsense going on? I can't say I blame them...but I just don't know if I should go forward or put things off...again. This is the second time things have been on hold due to incredibly crappy situations and "unforeseen circumstances". Sheesh...enough already.

Thanks to all the BDW brides...because I have found so much information and comfort in all of your posts. This forum is amazing!! Best of luck to everyone!!! I really hope it all works out

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
