I don't have insurance... booo! sad.gif But I do have an Rx savings plan which I think brought it down to around 90-something so that's good! :) My doc even gave me a refill on it - not sure what that's all about...?

Leaving for Puerto Vallarta in 10 days. I can't wait.....

I had a co-worker just return with 40 wedding guests on Sunday from Cancun and she said all is good. She is even prego and didn't have any worries. There were 4 small children with them and again everyone is healthy and had a wonderful time.

LADIES SERIOUSLY NO WORRIES....

This morning CDC announced that this strain of Swine Flu is more minor than the common flu. I get the flu every winter, it sucks for about 2-3 days but hey I'm alive and healthy....

Happy Mexico Wedding everyone...

PS yesterday was my legal day it was a hoot getting married at the court house. so funny

I would love to post pictures but for some reason I am not able to weird.

Oh yeah almost forgot I got my Tamiflu medicine yesterday and the pharmacist laughed okay not literally but she said this is blown out of porportion. She told me she has had over 10 people in this week with confirmed swine flu and they walked right in fever and all and picked up their medicine and are still alive and healthy....

She said wow can't wait for cold season, with hype like this, it is going to keep me in business...... She said before this swine flu scare CVS pharm was getting ready to do layoffs and now they aren't

strange......

So lesson learned:

Positive Swine Flub results

1. swine flu is keeping CVS pharm in business

2. Airlines are canceling direct flights and my guests have rebooked with connecting flights and saved half their $$$$$. My FI and I alone saved $328 on our flights yeah

3. I spoke to someone at Dreams PV yesterday and she said it isn't busy there and that they didn't have to make restaurant reservations or spa you can just walk right in and she said the service is amazing.

KLila- Congratulations on your legal day!!!!!

HotTamale - those pictures made me laugh so hard.. thanks I needed that :)

Heidi LK- thanks for the info on the Grand Palladium Punta Cana: do you have a recommendation of what section to stay in between the Bavaro, Punta Cana or Palace? We prefer something closest to the beach and the action.. without it being super loud.. Thanks!!

Hi Ladies - been following this thread for sometime. My heart goes out to all you and sending lots of "good wishes and thoughts" your way that everything works out. Our wedding is on June 6th (one month to go!) - we're hoping this blows over!

In the meantime take out our aggression on swinefighter.com :)

Does anyone have any experience with the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar - in Cabo?

They have a cancellation policy for guests who booked through the wedding block of rooms. According to their policy, if guests cancel within 30 days, they will be financially penalized for their entire stay.

Our wedding in on June 13th and while we are hopeful that we can go forward, we wanted our guests to have as much time possible to decide whether they feel comfortable going - without being financially obligated more than they already are with their flights.

We just learned that the Sheraton is NOT adjusting their cancellation policy!! This seems ridiculous to me that the Sheraton is being so inflexible. And frankly this may lead to us cancelling or wedding entirely!! We are worried that - if forced to make a decision in the next few days - our guests will cancel rather than assume the financial obligation.

Just wanted to know if anyone has any insights in working with the Sheraton.

Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
