For you fellow Palace Resort brides:

Palace Resorts and Le Blanc Spa Resort will allow reservations to be transferred to our Moon Palace Casino, Golf & Spa Resort in the Dominican Republic, or to postpone until a later date within 2009, all at no fee. The difference in price is being adjusted on a one to one basis. In addition, many airlines have announced they will waive fees for guests to change scheduled flights to Mexico in the next few weeks.

Swine Flu in Mexico and the U.S.

Ugh.... I just got back from Mexico and I have a mild case of three of the symptoms (cough, sore throat, and the runs). While I'm pretty sure that it's not the swine flu and instead it's just the result of too much Mexican food and traveling, I'm wondering if I should get tested to be safe. I know that if I cough in front of my boss, she's going to try to quarantine me herself unless I have proof that I'm not a piggy flu carrier.

I really hate all the panic and my heart goes out to those of you who are having your trips canceled or your guests freaking out.

As of a few hours ago Noli Tours, Air Transat, Sunwing Vacations, Sunquest Vacations and Signature Vacations have postponed flights to Mexico until June 1st. Also Air Canada Vacations will not fly any of its charter vacation planes to Mexico until June 1st.

We are leaving for our wedding on June 7th so we are just waiting to see what happens....

it really couldn't hurt anything to see a doc ... if nothing else they can prescribe you medicine for whatever else it may be. you're right, anyone who knows you were just in mexico will panic ... *sigh* doesn't EVERYONE have a cough and a sore throat after flying? i always do! (unless it's a sore throat from screaming because i was too drunk to know i wasn't whispering, or from singing loud horrible karaoke or something) and the runs when you've been to mexico? ... well gee, never heard of that before! LOL

Could be, but could also be a cold or other bug! I'd go to the doc though just to be sure because if it is SF there is treatment ~ and that is a very good thing!! :)

P.S. I have had the runs and mild sore throat, congestion, etc (TMI? LOL) for the past several days and I'm pretty sure I don't have that! Now just trying to convince Grandma... LOL wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
