HEIDI - i just posted what sunquest is doing - air transat should be willing to use the credit you have to send you somewhere else - can you chnage your location?? Possibly keep your dates??

 

Canada HAS NOT banned travel - tour groups have cancelled their tours - they will give you a travel credit or fly you to a new destination during the same time.

*sigh* I'm so sorry Desiree This honestly has got to be the worst week for so many of us Mexico brides. I can't believe this crap is happening.

It's like shouldn't we be worrying about so many other things at this point? Yanno like all the stuff we haven't finished yet, making sure we have everything together before our big trips...I HATE this!!! What I would do right now to just be dealing with the normal "before the wedding" stresses. I think I'd even rather deal with a dress that doesn't fit, or a dress that hasn't arrived on time!!!

I think part of the issue with airlines shutting down for a month or so is that I am sure pilots and more importantly flight attendants are refusing to work on Mexico bound flights and so they cant fly without a certain amount of staff....I am just guessing that this is part of the reason, they cant make staff work if they dont feel comfortable or safe...doesn't make this situation any better but that might be why the bans are scheduled for so long

i just got an update and sunquest, sunwing and air canada have all suspended flights going to mexico until the end of may! ... I hope none of our BDW girls will be affected by this, i do know that they are offering alternative locations... welcome to... www.sunwing.ca
