While we were on our Honeymoon we spent the Afternoon in Akumal one day. We instantly fell in love with the place! I just wanted to share my pics with anyone just wanting a quick fix of the area, I know how when I was planning our wedding I would take anything haha :)

Enjoy!

Abbie! Aaah I LOVED the slideshow, that's gotta be one of the cutest formats, Hawaii themed and all wink.gif Thank you so much for posting these pics for all the Akumal brides ~ it made me even more excited that my day is just about 2 months away!!!! It tickles me to see the CEA Center when it's "normal" ~ I can't wait to add our wedding decor in there and see how it all turns out. Yanno put a little sparkle into it rolleyes.gif

Looks like you and Doug had a great day exploring the town and relaxing. I am definitely going to be hitting up the palapa hut at Lol Ha for one of those mango margaritas and all the other yummy places in town. And it's exciting to see that the bridge over the highway into Akumal Pueblo has developed so much and looks damn near done wink.gif Just another bonus!!!

Again thank you so much for thinkin of us Akumal brides hug2.gif

I have really only talked about it in the BL6 thread and posted a pic of her the morning in the hospital. She is doing SO good, thanks for asking!!!! She's almost 100% again. Although we had to hold her alot in the hospital due to the IV so she couldn't run around and she's gotten so used to being cuddled and held we're having to break that now that we're home so I can get some stuff done! She was just eating bland food to make sure she could keep it down, but we went out to eat tonight and i ordered her chicken and dear god!!!! She chowed it down! She ate 3 chicken strips a bunch of fries, apples, and oreos! I'm sooo happy!smile72.gif

  • 2 weeks later...

abs I have to thank you! I didn't realize there were 2 palapas there and when I saw your pics I was so confused cause it looked different then other pics I have seen. So I asked the owner about it and she helped me realize there are 2 palapas and we're using the other palapa cause its bigger!

So thank you for clearing that up!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
