My absolute favorite is Pinot Grigio....doesn't matter if it's a $3 bottle or a $50 bottle, I love it! But I also love a nice glass of red, Pinot Noir! Just recently, I've discovered sparkling wine and I have turned into a big fan. It depends on my mood, but you really can't go wrong with any glass of wine!

This thread is making me thirsty! I'm a lover of the whites when it turns summertime, but lately, I've been trying Rose's and I've gotta say, yum! Granted, I think most people equate pink wine with box o' wine or older ladies playing bridge, but I'm loving it's light and flavorful taste!

I've never been a fan of Rose for that reason, because I've only ever had cheap ones. But my uncle started a vineyard a few years ago and they just got around to making Rose and it is delicious! He just came out with sparkling rose, I can't wait to try it, we're thinking about serving that as our one wine for our wedding.

Check out Croteau Vineyards if you wanna try it, they're made in Long Island, NY

Oh Rombauer is all over the place around here. I haven't tried it ... but the brand has a good reputation as far as reasonably priced wines go.

I used to think of pink wines as just basically white zinfandel untilI started selling wines. Rose wines are usually drier in style - not sweet like white zin's. One fabulous rose is Montes Cherub. It has a pic of cupid w/ a bow and arrow on the front and is an upscale quality out of Chile for a fraction of the upscale price.

I don't know how readily available it is ... but one of the top sellers at a few of the wine bars that I sell to here is Innocent Bystander Pink Moscato. It's from Australia and is a pink bubbly moscato that is just absolutely amazing. All my friends love it too and I buy it by the case to keep at home. Even DH loves it and he's not a wine drinker. Slightly sweet but not syrupy sweet ... and fabulously crisp. I promise if you find it, you will love it!

Thanks for the tip on Rose - I will check out Montes Cherub.

I think we're doing a Prosecco for our "champagne" toast as I wasn't wild about any of the sparkling wines my hotel offered - and the real champagnes were just ridiculously expensive for 75 people who probably aren't that interested. I'm having trouble finding any info/ratings on the one they offer though: NV Prosecco, Il Follo Villa Luigia Brut Valdobbiadene.

Here is a review of it ... Artisan Vineyards - Il Follo Prosecco

Just google "il follo" and you will find a few more reviews on the Prosecco. Sometimes when searching for info on a wine, putting in too much info won't get you enough results or accurate results. :-)

It sounds yummy!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
