Shower Gift AND Wedding Gift?

Hello!

I'm attending a destination wedding myself in 3 weeks and I'm not sure on proper etiquette here. I attended the brides shower and got her a nice gift...does that mean I'm covered or is it proper proticol to also gift her a wedding gift?

Honestly, I would get her a wedding gift.

Did her invitation say anything about gifts? Or are they registered? I mean for our DW everyone kind of knew "your presence is present enough" but I guess just use your best judgement here. Traditionally, you do get them a gift for the shower AND the wedding, but as we all know DW's throw tradition out the window (sometimes) SOOOO I guess I am no help LOL!

I would get a wedding gift too. But remember not to bring it with you!! If you do not live nearby, mail it in advance!!

I would also get a a wedding gift in addition to the shower gift.

I would get a gift also - the size of the gift depends on a lot of factors, like how close the couple is to you etc.

I would get them a gift as well and have it delivered to their home or give it to them personally. I wouldn't take it to the DW location.

I agree with everyone's response. I know my brother bought us a mini fridge for our garage so he is bringing a card with a picture of it to the DW. Otherwise, I have always had my gifts sent to the bride's house.

 

We put their presence was present enough on our website, but we also paid for their accomodations, food, and alcohol for the week. Everyone just had to buy a ticket for $200-250. So we will see.

yes - I would get them a gift as well - even if it is just something small on their registry
