I think they look awesome! Yes, the diamond thingies would look fabulous also!

Question: Have you found a cork or anything to top the main vase with? cheesy.gif I love how it has like a funnel top built right in!

GREAT find dudette.

Great job, Miranda! As a head's up, I would be very careful with a glue gun... because the ribbon is sheer, you could end up seeing the glue through the ribbon. You could try clear double sidded tape or even those 'glue dot' things.

Love the idea of adding some bling... if there isn't enough room for initials (or if trying to write them out becomes more complicated than you had hoped), what about just a row of diamonds on the ribbon going around the vases?

One last idea is about how to combine the two colours... oh, I hope this explanation makes sense :) what if you wrapped the middle vase with the aqua/blue using the full width of the ribbon (as you've done on the shorter one), then fold the white ribbon in three so that it's not nearly as wide... place the white ribbon over the blue ribbon and then you could apply a row of diamonds over the white ribbon... does this make any sense at all?!? Hope this helped.

Hmmm a cork would eb a good idea, but it's a bit wide. We were thinking instead of making sure it stays upright (in my carry-on) and putting material over the top with an elastic around the neck so if it DOES tip it'll be good. And we're going to fill it up right to the top with beach sand but remove some when we get home so it's not so full but that'll keep everything from movie around too much when we travel ...

Love your vases from pier one BlissfulMsMiranda. I think I might have to get them wink.gif.

Are you using colored sand or the sand from the beach?

I would like to use both. However, to order sand in my colors online is 3 dollars but the shipping is 10 because of the weight. pretty ridiculous. The only colors I have seen are light brown, white and baby blue at Michaels.

Do you ladies know of any other stores that might have more colored sand options? I'm looking for aqua or tiffany blue sand. I already have white sand, and plan to use the maroma beach sand. Just want the third color to be a wedding color.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
