I still can't get my makeup to look like what the Mac counter did. They really made my eyes pop. How many times did you try it before you mastered it? I followed their directions but I really don't know what the heck I'm doing wrong. Hmm maybe you need to take another trip to cabo and do my makeup.. :-)

Sounds like fun! But just in case I can't make it, lol...

Do you have good brushes? That is important. I probably tried and washed off and retried like 5 times. Then I just kept wearing it like every day in varying degrees of intensity. Make sure you're using that eye primer stuff, then just layer on the eyeshadow, starting with the medium neutral color, then the lighter color on the top, and fill in the crease with the dark color. Eyeliner last, then two coats of mascara. Is that what you're doing?

Well, the lighting is different so it's really hard to tell. But, I think you need more of the darker eyeshadow. It doesn't look THAT much different to me though...

Tammy, I actually think your makeup looks better. Your eyes are popping, trust me, your eyes look much bluer. If you want it the same, then the differences I think are you need a little more mascara, and darker lip colour. I think your skin looks nice, and if you want more eyeshadow but I really do think your eyes are really pretty as is.

Totally butting in, but I agree, I like your makeup a lot better than the MAC. Maybe it is the lighting, but your eyes pop more in the second picture. In the first they are kind of muted... but it definitely could be the lighting...

I agree--- from what I can tell in the photos, you have the application technique down, it just looks like more layering is needed to get it to the MAC counter look....

BTW--- it still looks really good too, even tho it's lighter.

    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
    • My sister has done it but with the destination wedding, only super close family members and friends came since it was expensive and farther. It was great though.
