Happy Birthday tomorrow Melissa! I have read your story about your mom in your other thread and I am so happy for you that you have these wonderful people that love you! As I related before, I have "mother" issues as well and I'm so happy these people will be there for you on your day!

It's kind of crazy how similar my situation is to yours...My father died unexpectedly this year and I am estranged from my mother's side of the family as well. I have no family attending the wedding but my FI will have all of his there. I'm sorry for what you are going through. I know how much it hurts to feel like an orphan when you are planning the most important day of your life. At times like these you just have to be grateful for the people that do support you and for the man who loves you and the life you will get to share with him. Hang in there!

I too just lost my father on New Year's Eve...he was also my step-father but I consider him as my dad since I have to relationship with my biological father. I know how hard it is to be planning a wedding while the rest of the family and yourself is grieving. How wonderful that your dad got to adopt you just before he passed...I'm sure both our Dad's will be smiling down on us on our wedding daysmile03.gif

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
