Ours is included in the package too. Check with you photographer and see if they'll give you a deal since you're already paying them a lot of money anyway!

My question is How long did it take you dress to dry out. I can make up my mind when I want to do the TTD. We dont really want to get up the morning after the wedding, so Monday would be the next best day, but then thats where my problem comes in we would leave to come back to the states on Wed. Do yall think my dress would be dry by then?

Kits 55 Thanks for the ideas

I bought a short dress for my legal ceremoy and am using that for TTD.

We did our TTD on Sunday morning after the wedding and I soaked it. We left on Wednesday and the very bottom hem of my dress was still a tiny bit wet. I hung it up the entire time inside, but not outside. If you hang it up outside where it's warmer and breezy it may dry faster. My dress was some type of silk and only a single layer. There was no taffeta or anything else on it.

I think it will depend on what type of material your dress is made of and how many layers your dress has on whether it would dry if you do your TTD on Monday.

Thanks so much, my dress has a lace over lay but that isn't going to hold water. I will just have to remember to hang it outside.

This may be a stupid question but those who had had a TTD shot what do you do with your dress after your done? Do you have the resort wash it for you do you just dry it and take it back home with you.
            Confused?

My dress had a lace overlay and I trashed it on Saturday and flew home on Monday. I didn't hang it outside at all, just rinsed it in the bathtub and hung it in the closet. And it was dry by the time we left on monday morning. VERY sandy... but dry! :)

And Mccrary, I just left it in the closet until we left. Then i wrapped it up in the pastic bag I brought it in, and shoved it in the empty suitcase that I used to bring down my OOT bag stuff. Worked lovely

There are so many pages in this thread! WOW! My dress is lace...do you think it's a bad idea to trash the dress at Dunn's River Falls? I'd hate to ruin it but there's no way I'm buying another dress!

i think it depends on the type of shots you want. you might be there and get in the moment and go for it, or you might just be really careful with the types of shots you want to get. i would definately hope for the best but prepare for the worst with lace...it's just so delicate!

I am planning on doing a ttd the day after our wedding. I am also planning on wearing my dress again at our ahr so I'm obviously concerned that my dress will be ruined and I won't be able to wear it. I have read through this entire thread and for the most part it seems as though the dresses came out like new! My questions is.....are there any brides who did a ttd in water and had their dress acually trashed so badly that they couldn't wear it again?
