***TTD (Trash the Dress) Thread - please post all of your questions here!

I say go for it, it's a great way to have some amazing pics that you aren't worried about exactly how your hair and make-up is and if something has smudged the dress. They are almost more care-free, and you can make them anything they want, they don't need to be super provocative and racy.

I am so glad we did a TTD shoot - we did take some in the water, but we took a lot in some other locations first - on a pier, on shells, walking in town, etc. - I think those pictures are the best and are so unique.. Everyone we show those pictures to is amazed at how great they are.. Your TTD can be whatever you want it to be and is about having fun and getting the types of shots you both want.. But I would definitely say - Yes, go for it!!!

As for after the water, I went and rinsed off in the shower (with the dress on), then hung it up and let it air dry. It dried in about 2 days and except for some dirt on the bottom, it actually looks great..

I agree, if I were to suggest a time, I would suggest first thing in the morning with a different dress. I think after your ceremony, and photos you might run into a time crunch or maybe not want to leave your reception to do more photos. You can usually find a cheaper 2nd dress for the TTD session, wear your hair down and then just get ready once for the wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
