My FI out of the blue yesterday told me he wants to take pictures at Dunns Falls, so he's totally in!!! Wearing a wedding dress in a water fall will be awesome!

Does anyone know if Taffata will hold up in water? My wedding dress is made of it, and if it would dry okay maybe I could still wear it for the AHR. I'm curious what materials are best so they last through the shoot!

I got that reaction too, I asked my mom is I could use her old dress seeing as I am the last to marry in my family and its not like it will ever be used again anyway. She thought about it at least.... my dad almost had a heart attack... lol Anyway I did get a second cheep dress, but after talking to the lady at the bridal store there seems to be no reason no to use mine. She says it will be fine just get it dry cleaned and I'll be able to wear it at the AHR too!!

Talk to the girls at the salon they were a big help for me. It sounds like silk and I forget the other material are the only 2 that doesn't do so well getting wet.

I dont know about the rest of everyone else, but im going to use the same dress that Im getting married in. I love the way it fits and i think it would look amazing for the ttd photos.. besides its our day, no reason to spend extra money on another dress when i will never wear the first one again anyway right?!! Thats the way I look at it!

though sometimes I wish I could have two dresses!! :)

At first I planned on a second dress for TTD but have decided against it. I'm never going to use the first one again, it's absolutely gorgeous and I want as many pictures in it as possible! So why not in the water or where ever we end up.

Part of me is a little nervous after all the money I spent but it's not like I'll ever have a reason to put it on and who knows, it might survive and then I can give it to someone else for their TTD.

Oh...and my mom's reaction to the idea of TTD was classic. She almost fell out of her chair and asked what on earth would make me want to do that in my wedding dress.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
