***TTD (Trash the Dress) Thread - please post all of your questions here!

check craigslist.  I bought a very nice dress, still with tags for just over 100.  When I told the girl why I was buying it, she asked for photos.  She found a dress she liked better and just wanted to recoup some of her dress price.

Where else can I get a moderately cheap wedding dress for the TTD?

I'm not comfortable buying it on ebay...

Also, you might have to wake up earlier than that.  That last trash the dress that I did in Riviera Maya was in February and we had to be on the beach by 5:45 so we could start shooting at 6 and the sun was up by 6:30.  So make sure you check the actual sunrise time and plan to be there BEFORE that.  The sun goes up quickly :)

Alright thanks, I think we'll stick with the original plan then and get up early or just not sleep! haha.  The only sad thing is I'm not sure if we'll still get our breakfast in bed or not, we may have to skip that part and just do it when we switch resorts.

My photographer recommended doing it the second day after your wedding. We are also getting up at like 5am so we can get sunrise pics and he said we would be too tired and you don't really want bags under your eyes and i want to enjoy my first morning in bed with my new husband. Although this depends how many days you have after your wedding I suppose.

This is our plan too! I am looking forward to sleeping in with my hubby and the breakfast in bed the morning right after the wedding :)

We're doing a TTD at Dunn's River Falls after the wedding...I then have an AHR (at home reception) I wanted to wear it to also. I don't know if I'll have the room to take 2 dresses with me - has anyone worn their dress again after the TTD? Does it hold up OK? I'm not worried about it getting slightly ruined, I just want it to look OK in pictures again for the AHR.

Sorry if I missed the answer somewhere already:)

Thanks!!

Hi skadow, glad you are doing a TTD!  I absolutely loved doing mine-it was my favorite part of the wedding and the pics from the TTD are by far my favorite too :) Your pics from Del Sol should be fabulous!!

Yay how exciting!!  I was able to convince David to do it after showing him del Sol's slideshows.  Thanks to La Luna we can make it happen.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
