UGGGHH! SO sorry I haven't posted pics of myself in the dress yet!!! It came in, and fits me beautifully, but I got into issues with my mother on the day that I went and showed it to her, thinking she would be taking the pics I would post -- family drama!!!

REMINDER to ALL: You can pick and choose your friends, but you can't pick your FAMILY!

Thanks, Ladies! Again, I just need to find a way to get some pics of myself, and I will post them up on here as soon as possible! The dress actually looks a little bit different in person than it did online, but I was pleasantly surprised, and you can't beat the value on a dress you want to "trash" anyway!

HAPPY FRIDAY to all!

My drama with my Mama about doing a TTD in my actual wedding dress has come to an end as of this morning! HOORAY FOR eBAY, I SAY! I feel like I searched the far reaches of the planet (well, of the internet anyway) to find a dress for less than $100 that wasn't completely hideous, and I had a little luck! Taking the advice of some of you who highly recommended looking on eBay for a cheaper dress for the TTD worked out beautifully. I ended up being the only bidder on this dress, which just so happens to be in my size, for only...drumroll, please --$75! The seller is even covering shipping costs!

But, I wanted to post it on here and see what everyone thinks before I get too excited, you know? BE BRUTALLY HONEST, BDW Ladies!

Here are the pics the seller took of herself in the dress:

Whatta ya think? undecided.gif
I hear ya on the mama drama: every time I mentioned wanting a TTD shoot, she looked like she was going to cry because she wants me to wear it for AHRshitfan.gif

Sorry, you're dealing with this I am still interested in seeing the dress on you.
I ended up buying a $150 dress at David's Bridal to trash. My mom doesn't know yet, but she better be happy cuz she got her way although it cost me an extra $150!

THANKS, "Destination"!

I'm psyched that it sounds like you know exactly where I am coming from on the mom-issue! And, get this! Even though I spent the extra money to get a separate dress for the TTD, she's STILL not happy! The thinks the idea is completely ridiculous, and I don't see the point in arguing with her anymore of the topic, but I find it reassuring that I won't have to worry about whether or not the dress can be dry-cleaned back to perfection, since I don't plan on saving it anyway!

Maybe I'll try to sell it in as-is condition after the wedding to another bride in search of a cheapie dress for their TTD?!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
