I'm trying to book the Nuestra Senora del Carmen chapel for Dec 11, and so far wasn't that difficult, but they don't have priests that can give the mass in english. They mentioned I can contact father Bernard Quinn and see if he was available to give the mass, unfortunately he is really busy that day due to the Virgen de Guadalupe celebrations. Does anyone has the name of other priest that can give the mass in english and if so can you give me his contact info :) I will really appreciate it.

Father James Hogan: 984-116-3373. He is the best one from the feedback I got and he did my wedding.

Here is another one. Jorge Cataneda: 984-804-8870.

Thanks so much for the info, I will try them, hope they can make it for that date.

Hi,,

I am getting married in August at the Catholic chapel of the Grand Palladium Colonial.

The WC are great and take care of everything. They also have packages for Catholic weddings.

If you want images, google or youtube grand palladium colonial catholic chapel and you'd get good results.

Good luck

Hi there!  I highly, highly recommend going through a wedding coordinating agency such as Ajua weddings if you're doing a Catholic wedding.  They are extremely strict in Mexico with all the church requirements and I know of a few brides on this forum who had their church ceremonies cancelled because of missing paperwork/not fulfilling every last requirement etc.

Less stress = happy bride!

Hi ladies,

hopefully you ladies could help me with your experience and lessons. I am getting married in February 2013 in Playa de Carmen at the Gran Velas resort which doesn't have a church facility. The wedding coordinator is helping me locate a church one especially is Nuestra Senora Del Carmen but the price she quoted me was 400US for the ceremony and then an extra 200 for english translation. Which I think is rather high but wanted to hear about other folks experience/ Did anyone work with the church directly in costs? What about english speaking priest? Also, did anyone had to transport their guest to and from the church from the hotel.

Thanks..........................................

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
