Night Shift

Recommended Posts

LOL! yes us night shifters are truly a different breed! I have been doing this the past 7 yrs! I am fortunate enough to be able to sleep quite well during the day. With the help of earplugs, eye cover thingy and a black out shade for my room or course! Oh and it also helps that I live in the rainy northwest! I have don't have a family of my own yet so it works for me!

And if it's quiet I get a lot of BDW forum stuff in on my night shift! =)

UGH!!! I am so sick of my job, I think I have the most underappreciated profession in the world... I totally got yelled at today for refusing to send the police for this woman who called because "there was too much traffic on her street" seriously... She said there are too many cars driving on her street!

If one more person calls and says "it's 2am I'm trying to sleep" I'm gonna scream... I know what time it is, it's 4 more hours until I get to go home and try to get some sleep amid all your noise! Oh! and if the neighbor's dog barks again today like it did yesterday my neighbor's might not have a dog by tomorrow...

I am seriously considering quitting... The only thing that keeps me going is that i get 8 hours to BDW and FB without getting sh** from FI about how much time I waste on the computer! :)

Have a great day everyone! (try to do it quietly so your nightshift friends don't go postal)

p.s. I should only be on night shift for 2 more months :) You won't have to take too many more rants like this

girl, we must be on same the wave length!!! I am so ready to quit my job, mostly because I have been working these horrid hours for 19 months now and also because I feel underappreciated. If the economy wasn't so bad and I knew I could get a new job right away I woulda peaced out these MFs a long time ago. But this is a union job with good pay and great benefits so everyone thinks I'm crazy for even thinking of leaving. But again, they're not the one's up during these unGodly hours hearing their editor say "don't fu$k it a new asshole, just use better English". wtf.gif do I really need this?

BangHead.gif I am trying to convince myself just to keep the job up until the wedding but I am honestly going crazy right now!!!!!!!!! censored.gif Aside from that I think these vampire hours has made me look like shit -- I look at pics before I took this job and I swear I've aged at least 5 years. sad.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
