**Dreams VILLAMAGNA- Post Info Here!**

Does anybody know what the pricing is per person for the reception dinner outside of the 20 guests that are included on the wedding package? I think I heard someone say it was $55 per person but I'm not sure if that's accurate.

Thanks!

That's correct. However, if the guest isn't staying at the resort then it's more (not sure of the amount thou).

Here are some of the photos I took of DreamsVM when we visited in February. Keep in mind that the resort had only been open two months at that time & they were still doing some work on the place. I didn't take any pictures of the rooms b/c they looked exactly as they do online. They are beautiful! I really feel like my pictures do no justice to how nice this resort is. As I've said before, my FI did not want to go looking at resorts while we were on vacation and I dragged him here. Once we set foot on the resort his whole attitude changed & he got super excited. This place is very modern and white. If you like a modern look then this resort is for you. If you are dreaming of a more "old world" look then you probably won't like this resort.

I tried to make the photos smaller so I didn't take up too much space. If there are too small let me know and I'll repost them larger.

Pic 1: I think this one corresponds with the wedding set-up pictures that susanandmo posted.

Pic 2: Another view of the same area

Pic 3: Behind the first two pictures heading towards the resort (away from the beach) This is another area where they said they can do a set-up for cocktails or other events if you'd like

Pic 4: This is looking at the resort with the areas in the pictures above to the left of this photo

Pic 5: There are 4 or 5 pools all linked together at the resort. Each pool is for different reasons (ex. kid pool, quiet pool, activities pool)

Pic 6: This looks at two of the outdoor restaurants. The 2nd restaurant is on the backside.

Pic 7: View of resort from the beach

Pic 8: Gohan sushi restaurant, it sits on top of the resort with amazing views

Pic 9 & 10: more views of Gohan

When I toured the resort in Feb. with Yolanda, she let me know it would costs guests staying off of the property approx $100 usd for a day pass. This includes all food and drinks they want, but still very pricey! So far, all 54 of our guests have booked at Villamagna so this should not be an issue for us!

I emailed them awhile back and requested a copy of the daily activity sheet they slip under your door each morning. I think it lists all activities scheduled for the day along with which restaurants will be open. Unfortunaltely, I never heard back. Does anyone happen to have a obe of these? Just curious on what to expect each day.....

Thanks, Trisha

Hey Trisha... while I have never been to that Dreams I just got back from PV dreams and can give you an idea. Each day around 7 they start with the activities: 7 is the gym, 8 is yoga, 9 is cooking lessons, 10 is spanish lessons, 11 is kayaking adventure, 12 is beach volleyball, 1 is cocktail making lessons, 2 is fruit carving lessons, 3 is scuba clinic, 4 is dance lessons, 5 is football, 6 is Texas hold em, and at 7:30 every night at PV they do a possible turtle release but I have no idea what that is since they never did it while I was there. On the same paper they tell you what restaurants & bars are open for that day as well as what the night entertainment is. (Casino night, fiesta night, rock n roll beach party, fire dancing, etc.) And at 10 or 10:30 they meet in the lobby to head into town for bars & dancing. Also on the same sheet they list all of the guests who are celebrating their honeymoon, anniversary, or birthday... super cute touch! Hope this helps! Best of luck! I am investigating a place for our wedding and was impressed with Dreams PV but really like the new-ness of Villamagna!

Cheers! xoxo

Trisha: I grabbed one of the activity sheets for you. I'll scan it and send it to you as soon as I find it.

BTW the hotel doesn't slip it under the door, guest have to pick up the sheet from the concierge desk everyday and they also place it on the elevator.

I should have it to you by next week.

Thanks,
Susana

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
