Las Vegas OOT

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone. I'm having a little bit of trouble trying to get things together to put in a OOT. I purchased the totes today and have an idea of things to put in. I am taking any suggestions in what else to put in. I looked through many lists and am still somewhat lost. We will only be putting together 15 OOTs. Thanks in advance for all the help

I'm having the same problems. I am looking for cheap Vegas picture frames because everyone will be taking photos and for a lot of my family it's going to be their first time out there so it'll make a cute memento. I was thinking of also doing a mini "Poker for dummies" book, sunscreen, Vegas map or guide book, personal fans, and personalized water bottles.

I would say Aspirin, water bottle, candy/or other snack, playing cards, shot glasses...

the maps and frames are a great idea. If you could swing it you could always put a few dollars in chips tied up w/ a ribbon and a little note that says "6/1/09, a number you can bet on"...there are some roulette tables w/ 1 dollar chips they can use them at. I mention that because I plan to play roulette and bet on my wedding date for luck.

Hope that helps :-)

The dice and card idea was one that my guy thought of last night. We have already purchased personalized poker chips since few of the guys are really into poker. I was thinking the "poker for dummies" books would insult them, so was thinking of getting for the guests who I know do not play at all. Read on one of the other threads something about a "hangover kit" so I'm looking for things to put in there. Anyway, thanks for the responses

If you know anyone who is going out there soon, have them go to one of the casinos, or a few of them for that matter, and get used playing cards, they sell them cheap and they are still in great shape they just have corner cuts or something to mark that they have already been used by the casino so no one can bring them in and cheat with them. And maybe something that tells the time, you can never tell if it is day or night when you are in the casinos!

These are a few items i was debating to use in my OOT bags.

personalized shot glasses

vegas keychain or luggage tag

emergency kit including tylenol, sunscreen, lip blam, band aids, and alka seltzer (for hangovers)

water

candy

gum

condoms (for your friends NOT family)lots of hookers in vegas!

welcome letter

Keep in mind that Vegas is a totally different atmostphere than a carribean resort. There is so much to see and do in vegas it is very unlikely your guests would use a crossword or sudoku book or a deck of cards. But maybe they plan on laying out by the pool everyday which in that case maybe they would use those things. Just try to think of the practicality for your guests.

The last thing you want to do is spend money on things people don't need or won't use. Goodluck!

With "Sin City" being a common nickname for Vegas, I think you're on the right track. One thing I would definitly throw in is "Oxygen" you can buy single cans of oxygen that are small and matte silver - they have these at a lot of boutique hotels like Hotel Zha Zha, Palms, etc...they are great for hangovers!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
