Hello Everyone,

I am from Toronto and had the same problem with finding stuff in bulk for Welcome Bags.

I really wanted to include small packs of medicine and I checked out minimus.biz < they actually have ANYTHING you could ever need in travel/individual sizes. Prices are USD and I had to pay shipping, but you can't find this stuff in Canada (such as the prepackaged Advil, etc.).

I sent out an email months ago when everyone was booking as for shoe sizes as I arranged with Old Navy to be able to buy 80 pairs of flip flops during their $1 sale. I wanted to ensure everyone had their proper size so they could actually use them!

I have 80 people attending my wedding, and have a bag per couple. I am also doing kids bags. I have 5 children attending so I am giving them colouring books and crayons (Dollarama), flip flops, shovel and pail (Superstore), candy, sunscreen, and probably a little game from Dollarama.

In my Welcome Bags:
Bags - Creative Bags in Pickering, ON/also online

Wedding Timeline - Etsy

Door Hangers - Etsy

Advil, Tylenol, Pepto, Wet Ones Wipes, Mini Aloe - www.minimus.biz

Deck of Cards - Costco

Flip Flops - $1 sale at Old Navy

Small bag of chips - Costco

Candy Bag - Bulk Barn

I think my bags will be $15 or less each.

It's a good time to buy stuff right now for Destination Weddings as everything is going on sale at the end of summer!
Hope this helps :)

Did your guests have any problem with receiving an OOT bag at the airport?

My airline has allowed me to bring an extra bag for free on the plane. I am assembling the bags when I arrive at the resort with my wedding party and handing them out at our Welcome Cocktail Party the night everyone arrives. My resort wants to charge $5/bag to deliver these, so we will just hand them out at this party!

I don't think at the airport is a good idea, as others have said about people already having all their stuff to lug around, plus you may put some things in the bags that are not allowed on flights.

Which airline are you flying on?

does anyone have any suggestions for affordable beach bags?

Sometimes you can get lucky at Dollar Tree

I happen to find some at Christmas Tree Shop Last year.

Sometimes groupon has deals for vistaprint that makes getting them reasonable.

Umm That is all I can think of at the moment :)

There are several kids going and their bags are about $8-10 each. Only 18 are planning on attending so the total is around $200. I would probably spend less if it there were significantly more guests.

I think ours will average about the same, but we have a low guest count (20ish) so buying in bulk is harder!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
