Dreams
The resort was BEAUTIFUL!! You always think the pictures on the website are fake, but I can tell you the entire place was beautiful and so relaxing. The staff were friendly and had no problem with any special requests. For example, my fiance loves his drinks strong and they always obliged his requests for extra alcohol.

Food
The food was good, but not head-over-heels delicious. I'm a big foodie, so I may just be prejudice. We liked Himitsu the best. Seaside Grill was good but we ordered our steaks medium and they were always well done. We didn't have a chance to try Portofino. Room service was nice to have and will definitely be put into use.

Wedding Coordinator
Mariana is GREAT!! She met with us the day we arrived and the day before we left. She walked us around the entire property, answered all of our questions, and was very accomodating. She has always been responsive to my e-mails and is really a joy to work with.

I just started the planning process and had a site visit a week ago. I told the other brides to be patient with Yesica but now that my site visit was over a week ago and I still haven't heard back from her, I'm considering switching to Mariana. We need to get our date secured and I'm getting worried. Do you think that would be a good move? Mariana responds well to your emails? Any advice or help with WC would be great! Thanks so much!

I don't have any experience with Yesica but I communicated with Mariana and had no problems. She was very quick to respond and within 48 hours we had our date booked and deposit paid.

 

We are not going to do a site visit because my FI wants to be surprised when we get there. (I don't really get that but whatever) so I really appreciate the reviews and photos! Thanks so much

I'm also having problems with Yesica and her response time. I've been trying to confirm my date for over a week and have sent several emails with no response. I know its not her wedding but seeing that she deals with many brides and should somehow understand the frustration of waiting for something as simple as a confirmation of your WEDDING date, I can't see continuing to be patient with her throughout the planning of my wedding. I'm considering either switching to Mariana or hiring my own WC.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
