Just back from Cancun and wanted to follow up with you in regards to sun palace.

Sun Palace has the best beach by far!!! They have several small pools around the hotel and lots of chairs. They have very comfy beach beds on the ocean that were awesome! You were suppossed to be on the concierege floor to use them, but we were VIPs with the black bracelets and no one said anything to us! Sun Palace was an older crowd! We are mid 30's and found that Beach Palace had the best atmosphere and night life! Cancun Palace had an older crowd too!!! If I could change it, I would have stayed at Beach palace and got married at Beach palace. I thought that Cancun Palace would be the better option since it was larger. Several of our guests stayed at Beach palace, so we hung out at that hotel too. The bus is 7.5 pesos and very easy to use.

Have fun planning your wedding! Let me know if you have any questions.

YAY!!! We've stayed at the Sun Palace before and loved it. We are having about 40 people come down with us, most of them being parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.... so the older crowd will probably work out well for us. We are leaving the Sun and checking into the Leblanc for our honeymoon.... Hopefully that will be more of a lively atmosphere...I CAN'T WAIT!!! SOOO tell me all about the wedding!! You are lucky that you were able to get last years package, the package we are going with is 2300! Ok so here are my questions for ya :)

Did you use the resort's photographer? If so how were they?

What did you do for your reception? I have no idea what we are going to do for one

What would you do/not do if you had to do it over again?

THANKS!!!!

Glad you could make it!!! This is a great forum with a lot of resources, it's been a life saver for me, and I'm even one of the few guys you'll find on here! msnwink.gif

Have you found a photographer yet? If not, PM me and I'll recommend you to a great Cancun based photographer. She did my wedding and I can tell you the experience and the photos we received in the end were a real treat! She does awesome work and she's very creative.

Thanks

I think we are going to use the photographer included in the package.... don't think we have much room in the budget to add an outside photog ...sad.gif

Thanks Anyway:)

Congrats! My FI and I stayed there back in 2007 and LOVED it!!! The food is great, the service is wonderful, and the views from all of the rooms are oceanfront and beautiful!! Your wedding will be so amazing! We thought about booking the wedding there, but we have some non-couples coming so we could not do it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
