QUOTE=tguerre;769163]I will admit that I couldn't keep it a secret. I was good until I got the cd. When I got it I so badly wanted to show him so I showed him just 1 pic and told him he had to wait for the rest. His first question after he finally figured out it was me and not a Victoria Secret website I was showing him went something like this...

1. When did you do this? Do you have a double life? lol

2. Was it female photographer?

3. Did you make sure she can't post it on her website or show anyone?

4. When do I get to see the rest of them? Begging has continued everyday since I showed him.

I did my first draft of my book on blurb last night. Can't wait to finish it tonight and order it.

Here's the posting I did on my experience. I included a word document on BD shots that I wanted to try to recreate. Hope it helps. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t40805

This is too funny! I love that he asked if you have a double lifebunny_4.gif

I am with you girls. I am HORRIBLE at keeping a secret. I don't know what to do. I have him try to guess his wedding present every night and his answers are so funny. He keeps saying things like a watch, a pistol, haha. I said it is sooo much better! S&M.gif

lilmissfrogg-I am so glad that you feel good about the photographer and I am sure you will look gorgeous in your pics

I totally understand, because women are (on occasion) judgmental and competitive where men are more like "hey, girls are pretty." But after having an awkward situation with a male or two, I think I'm going to have a female do my BDs. Also, John would probably not be super happy with me having a male photog do BDs, since the photos are going to be for his eyes only, but I'm sure he would get over it if he had hot pictures of me.

My BD photographer was super laid back and really complimentary. She offered to meet me for coffee beforehand since typically she does BD shoots for brides that she has already done the engagement session so there is certain level of comfort already there. I skipped the coffee because I felt good from our conversations and emails. Plus, I figure I change in front of women at the gym all the time.

I have a suggestion and I don't want to be a bummer BUT...

Will you please take someone with you? I don't know if you have heard about the "craigslist" guy that they are trying to hunt down right now. He has killed 2 women "allegedly" and they have his image on hotel video but can't seem to find him yet. These women answered ads on craigslist- or he answered their ads for a masseuse and they came to his hotel room or something like that. I'm not trying to scare you I just am very hesitant of craigslist. It's scary to go to a hotel? or is it his studio? alone and do a BD shoot I would imagine.
That was going to be my suggestion. Look into them, get an address, full name and go onto the Better Business Bureau site as well as checking references. Take someone with (preferably more than one to at least take you to the place and let it be known that THEY know where you are before they leave. Big, burly, male someone's. lol Precaution never hurt anyone and you'll still have a blast.

So, my shoot is tomorrow! I am nervous and excited at the same time. Think I will need a shot or two before to loosen up! shots.gif But that isn't out of the norm I hear! I needed to go buy some black heels today...but didn't get around to it. And was hoping to hit up the mall, for a 'naughtier' outfit....didn't happen either. I hope what I have will do. AHHHHHHH!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
