Definitely take a guy w/ you! And if you can find other people do the shoot w/ you, if its free find friends of different sizes to do this w/ you.

 

I am a person who really doesn't worry, but I'm a bit scared for you! i don't know I don't trust craigslist. The girls have listed some stories previously, but there are a lot of creeps that list themselves on craigslist to promote themselves. In my opinion any reputable person trying to do a free shoot would be promoting over the radio or for BD would be doing it on bridal sites, etc actually paying to get something out of their shoot.

It is his website. I clicked on the contact us button and the email address that is right there is the email address he emailed me from. I'm a photographer and do tons of business through craigslist. I think the loonies are few and far between on the site so I wouldn't worry too much. It's always smart to bring someone with you so I'm glad you're doing it.

It's sad that vendors get such a bad rap simply because they're on craigslist.

The photographer does have a website. It's Atlanta Boudior Photography - Skin Deep Images - Boudoir Photographer - Bridal Boudoir Photography There isn't very many BD pictures, but he states that is because he hasn't had the opportunity to shoot many. I am taking somebody with me, either my sister or FI sister. Maybe I should take a guy friend....somebody BIG...HaHa.

 

I checked out the website, and the photos look a lot more revealing than the other BD pictures the brides on here have done. They almost look porn-ish instead of romantic. And in his blog he said that he talked in some girls sister into taking pictures too. I dunno... I get kinda a weird vibe from his website, like his goal is to have naked pictures of chicks for free and not to offer you free BD pictures.

 

Definitely bring your guy friend there, and definitely have the photog sign a contract that specifically states what he is allowed or not allowed to do with photos. You don't wanna have your kids find you on some website in the future. A contract won't stop him from doing that, but it will at least give you something to use against him if he does. Be careful, and I hope everything goes well for you.

So, the photographer stumbled across this thread. He emailed me kind of upset of some of the things said about him. Understandable. I just wanted to let everybody know that he did state in his VERY first email to me

 

"You are welcome to bring a chaperon if you like as long as they are over 18 and can keep a low profile. I prefer that you do not bring your significant other as you will be self conscious during the shoot and that will not lend itself to good photos."

 

Just wanted to let you guys know that I have decided to go to this person and help out his business that he is trying to start. I am going to go shopping this week and find some things to wear.

I am so happy for you that you are getting this photographer to do your photos!! Everyone has their opinion, but it is only yours that matters since you are the one getting your picture done I cant wait to see some teasers!! I am sure they will be amazing since you are so gorgeous!

Ya know, I wouldn't even have been scared off b/c of craigslist from your original posting. I mean, of course, you have to be careful, but I just assumed it was a photog that is trying to build his portfolio, not a mass-murderer/rapist. I guess I am not paranoid like that.

 

I am glad that you found a free session, that's so cool! Definitely, be careful (as you/we always should be!) and let us know how it goes!

 

ETA: Oh, I also forgot to say that you should check his prices on prints and books and stuff. The session might be free, but you want to make sure that you aren't going to pay for it on the other end.

For taking pictures for his portfolio I will get a free session and book of the photos he takes.

I did tell him that this forum and a good review from me could bring him lots of potential business. I said there are many girls from the Atlanta area that want to have pictures done. I also said that everybody was just worried about me and that you girls are only looking out for my safety. He understood. I am so excited, I bought stuff from Fredrick's of Hollywood last night. It should be in by April 30th. And I think it will look good with my pink heels that I showed off in the 'show off your BD shoes' thread. I am getting excited and can't wait to do this. This is going to be a anniversary gift....as our wedding is next year. But the before and after shots of loosing weight.....WOW!

My FI has never said a thing about me gaining weight after our second child, and I love him for that. And I also want to see more Big Beautiful Women feeling comfy with their bodies and know that they can be sexy. Beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors....just have to feel confident enough to prove it to the world!
