Todos Santos

We are considering doing our "honeymoon" after our Cabo Dreams wedding in Todos Santos. I know about Allegria (sp?) Inn and it looks great. Does anyone have other suggestions. My only concern is that the Inn isn't on the beach. Anyone know of a Todos Santos hotel that is on a beach?

TIA!!

You will like todos Santos!! It is a great place to wind down after a hectic wedding. Let me know if you have any other questions.

You can try the Posada La Poza hotel it is owned by a swiss coupple. www.lapoza.com My parents stayed there for two days and HATED it. They Loved the setting but felt really uncomfortable with the attitude the swiss coupple had. They were really rude.

It is right on the edge of a salt water lagoon and overlooks the Pacific Ocean. GORGEOUS views. It is not tecnically a beachfront hotel. There are no beach front hotels. One other thing you need to keep in mind is that the beach is NOT swimmable. You will have to drive 15-20 minutes towards Cabo to get to a swimmable beach no matter where you stay..

I can also recommend some private homes if you are interested in something like that.

Here are some pictures of the beach. You can be there completely by yourselves most of the time.

One other great thing. From Dec.- March the whales love coming almost onshore to play with their babies and they really put on an incredble show.

Since there are no places on the beach I'm assuming you have to walk to get there?

This is what I want - let me know if it exists or if I'm being crazy and need to deal.

- A place that is on/close to the beach - 10 minute walk max. We would like to be within walking distance of at least 1 bar/restaurant and the city center area.

Is this possible?

NOPE! The center of town is about 15-20 minute walk to the beach.

Here is what you can have:

La Poza is within 1-2 minute walk or canoe ride to beach and they have a bar and restaurant onsite. They are at least 15-20 minute walk to down town or 3-5 minutes by car.

Alegria or some rental homes in that same area: 3-5 minute walk to the beach and 3-5 minute car ride to town or 15-20 minutes if you walk.

Maybe in town there are 4 bars. Hotel California has one, Shut up franks, Wine bar - La copa, La buena vida.

Todos Santos is REALLY low key. There is a "wild" bar in Pescadero (15-20 minutes by car).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
