Malisa's Tulum Review Feb 2009

Recommended Posts

You read my mind. I'm actually going to contact my resort to see if it's possible. Do you have Charlie & Maria's contact information you can share? I'm going to see about doing the symbolic and legal ceremony in one.

Thanks again!

Vanessa

Thanks Lisa! Our guests really made the event. I am so glad each one came with us and they all enjoyed the experience.

Joann - we had our TTD at Hidden Worlds. We spoke to Gonzo after our group excursion and he made sure we had transportation down to the cenote and the guys who usually do the ziplining into the cave pretty much told everyone they couldn't go down (oops!) We had to pay $10/person and there were four of us. I think you usually have to pay twice that amount but we got a discount because of our group excursion.

ddk -

I personally haven't done Xcaret, but I have heard a lot of people say that it is way too touristy BUT that the shows are phenomenal.

Another option that is close to Dreams Tulum is Xpa-Ha. I haven't been here either since I am always on a time crunch - but I suggest that you swing in. It is on your way to Dreams and you can make a quick decision which one is for you. Both Hidden Worlds & Xpu-Ha are close to Dreams and about the same price. Xpu-Ha has a lazy river, etc. It does seem a little more touristy but it will eat up more of the day.

Good luck - and let us know what you decide.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
