Trish, so cool! I was coming here to post that my mom bought me a sundial for our anniversary for our garden (when we buy a house) and see that you Dad had the same idea! I can't wait to have a place to give it to live.

He said that he was originally going to get me a sundial, but we don't have the space or a garden to put it in. Well, my parents certainly do. So, dad and I went on an internet hunt for cool ones today... we found this one and we LOVE it!!

isn't it so perfect? The inscription just works out lovely!!!

So anyways, I just thought I'd share because it would also work for a one year gift and I seriously think it's adorable!

Our first anniversary was a few days ago. We would have loved to go back to Jamaica to celebrate, but with a 12 week old baby that wasn't possible, so we went to Atlantic City for the night. Mike gave me a watch after the baby was born and that was also my anniversary gift. I gave him tickets (paper) to a Phillies/Red Sox game.

So that means you had a honeymoon baby, is that correct? blush2.gif

Click the image to open in full size. It's not so much that people are having a lot of "honeymoon babies" here in Utah, it's that they have them at a really young age. Click the image to open in full size.

This is my plan as well, if I can put down the chocolate covered pretzels sometime soon and get myself in shape!

For our first wedding anniversary I bought Shawn AC/DC concert tickets and for the life of me I can't remember what he bought me...(damn, that really bothers me!) Oh well, I'm sure I loved it blush2.gif

My friend just had her anniversary and she gave her husband a pear tree because they make a great pair! Super cheesy but I love the idea!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
