Cleavage on your wedding day??

I am a bit concerned about my dress - I am barely a C cup, but my dress is pretty low-cut in the front. It didn't seem that obvious when it was a bit big, but now that it is altered...my girls are pretty out there. I hope I can adjust on the day of to where they aren't attracting too much attention - not because I think it is bad - just because I am not a cleavage girl I try to hide it most of the time for some reason.

Well, Bridechilla, maybe ask yourself the following questions:

Does a little cleavage make me feel sexy and confident, or I will I end up feeling self-conscious the whole day?
Do I feel weird wearing it in front of my male family members (Dad, Grandpa, brothers)?
Will anyone even look at my face or are my breast going to steal the show?
Are my "ladies" all anyone will focus on when they look at pictures later?

If you answered YES to any or all of the these questions, you may want to consider going a little more modest, and try the lace panel that was suggested. I've seen them do that on TLC's "Say Yes to the Dress" before and it made all the difference in the world to the bride's comfort and self-esteem!

Not matter what you decide, just do what makes you feel great about yourself, after all it will be your big day (no matter how "big" your assets may be!)

Another DD bride here, and I also fell in love with a dress that was a low v neckline. I don't generally show alot of cleavage, but in the end I decided that I am going to be spending a week in front of all of my guests in a bikini, my dress covers alot more than that, and it makes me feel beautiful (the important part). I agree with the PP's if you'll be self concious or uncomfortable, add a bit of lace, or chose another dress. Afterall, you don't want your "girls" to be your primary focus on your day.

I would LOVE to have a little cleavage for my wedding but DNA did not bless me with any. I say go for it. Let's face it you love the dress and your chest is your chest, no changing that, odds are you are going to have some cleavage in most dresses. It isn't like your friends and family don't know you have breasts anyways :-)

Hey girls, I had to chime in here since I am large than a D or DD, sometimes the letter attached scares me!

I bought a dress I loved (it wasn't my size when I was trying it on) when I got it the cleavage was out of control. I went to my seamstress and I am having her add a ruffle to the V. It sounds odd but the ruffle allows the V to remain, it just becomes a bit wider so it covers more. I was going to add lace to the bottom but with my dress the V, is a big part. The ruffle is a great addition and compliments the dress.

I am going to a fitting next week, when I have pics I will post them. I think seeing it will make it make more sense.

Also, don't forget that at the reception you might be doing a lot of bending over. (Eg. When you bend to talk to people at their table during dinner) I like the idea of adding something to the V if you are even questioning how comfy you may be.

I had quite a bit of cleave on my wedding day - and I'm not big on sharing/displaying. But I loved loved loved my dress and wasn't about to pass up the dress I wanted. Your seamstress will definitely make you feel comfortable. Just share your concerns. But get the dress you love - you're only going to do this once!

Well...I'm all about the cleavage!! LOL

Almost all of my shirts/dresses are V's. Not huge plunging necklines, but definite cleavage show-ers! lol

I think if you are comfortable with it, then go for it! For me it was a halter or deep V dress 100% - that's my style, so that's what I wanted for my wedding dress.
