Last minute guests and not enough OOT bags

Recommended Posts

So I have a problem, we leave in two days, and we just had three more rooms booked in the last two days by people who didn't think they could come. That means that I don't have enough OOT bags. What should I do? Do I get them something else? What do I get?

I would say try to get something together for them if you can. Maybe pick up a few things from Target, but don't stress yourself out over it. Plus the bags don't have to be the same as everyone else's. I doubt they will compare them like kids to Halloween loot like "What'd you get?" They know they only booked with a few days left and that can cause inconveniences like this so if their bag isn't as spiffy, they know why.

I agree with Foxybride.. don't kill yourself over trying to get them comparable bags with comparable contents. Go to the dollar store, Target, etc.. and get what you can find. IMHO, it's not very considerate to decide at the last minute that you are coming to someone's wedding and expect to have the same arrangements made (if they are expecting that... which they may not be). I am sure that they will appreciative of whatever you are able to put together.

I had some last minute guests come too. I think I needed like 19 OOT Bags and most of what I had purchased was for 20 or 24. I just threw what I had left into a bag. I did pick up some small items at Target while I was there, but didn't make any special trips.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
