Taxchick, T&C is fairly expensive but, I think, worth it for what you're getting. It's private and remote (yet reachable with direct flights from NY, Miami, Philly) in a way a lot of other islands are not.

I just got back yesterday from Beaches Turks & Caicos- what an amazing property! It has 3 villages that all offer a different ambiance but provides a vacation for whatever your in the mood for!

The French Village was very quiet and set back, the rooms were really large and very nice! I didn't have any complaints about mine at all!

The Caribbean village had brighter colors, lots of flowers & foliage, was closest to the beach and the rooms that I saw were great! Not sure about the lower categroy rooms though as we didn't see those.

The new Italien village was the busiest area- a bit more high rise than the others but very upscale & elegant! Amazing rooms!

You have access to the entire property so the choices are endless! Definately try the Cafe de Paris- great cookies, crepes & chilled mocha cappecinos!

There are a ton of restaurants (16) with amazing food and snack shacks throughout the property and the beach is wonderful!

I loved that it was all inclusive and offered something for everyone! From the little kids to teenagers to the older couples who went without any kids! I would even recommend this for honeymooners as there are adult only restaurants & hot tub but honestly the kids we saw were so well behaved and busy that it wasn't an issue!

The airport- welllll.......definately needs some upgrades and be sure to use the restroom on the plane as there isn't one until after you leave customs and then you have to go outside and walk in at the departure area!

Hopefully by the end of next week I'll have my pics & a full report up in the Sandals section!

Thank you, Heather! I really recommend you honeymoon there. I wish we had stayed there after the wedding (we switched to Parrot Cay which I'll be blogging about soon). Gansevoort was just so amazing.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
