i LOVE Phillipa Gregory's series of books. She wrote The Other Boleyn Girl, which was subsequently made into a movie. The books are much better and the plots are sooooo scandalous! Juicy, juicy books!! They are all historical fictions based on the Elizabethan time. I've also read The Boleyn Inheritance...great book!

I'm kinda a freak when it comes to my books I like the Anita Blake searies by Laural K Hammilton; basicly trashy romance novals with vampires and ware-animals hehe

V.C. Andrews, her books are kinda twisted with weird events like the guy the main charater is dateing turns out to be her brother kind of stuff...

Though right now I'm reading a book someone said on this site "saving your marrage before it starts" really really good points to think about when getting married

Though now I want to read the Something Borrowed searies but the first one is not on the kindal yet... but the second one is :/ booo

Oh thank heavens for this thread! I love a good book. I will even read a terrible book just to have something to read!

Some of my favorites that haven't been mentioned yet:

1. Anything by Christopher Moore - hilarious. My favorites are The Lamb, and Blood sucking Fiends.

2. The Alchemist - Paul Cohello

3. The Alienist and The Angel of Darkness by Caleb Carr

4. The Piano Tuner - Daniel Mason

5. Forever - Pete Hamill

I dont know if you have ever heard about this but its a real story of two girls who were in a car accident, one died and one ended up in a coma, and in a terrible mix-up the one family buried who they thought was their daughter while really their daughter was in the hospital. Dont worry I didnt just ruin the story, but it is an amazing read.
Oh I've heard about this--it actually happened to two girls from an Indiana school (which is the state I'm from). It was like a van or something from their school that wrecked...crazy story!

We use to have a book club on MDC. It was fun and then it faded off when I think people got a little busy and so noone discussed the books after we read it. If anyone is still interested I would love to do it again. I think we read some great books. And I am still reading 4 -5 books a week. And would love to discuss them with people.

I have yet to read & see the movie but I have heard from several friends (who have seen & read it) that they disliked the movie but love the books! I've just heard that they left things out of the movie or something like that!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
