Head table...

At this time we are unsure if we want to have a wedding party. My BF wont be able to make it and a few other friends are iffy. FI also is unsure who would be traveling with us so my questions is who sits at the head table? I feel weird if its just FI and I. I thought about having our parents up there but I am unsure. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Are you speaking of the AHR or the reception in St. Thomas?? We are having a AHR but its more like a party so we aren't having a head table. Only about 30 people are traveling to Jamaica with us so we opted to do a sweetheart table instead of a head table.

Typically the wedding party sits at the head table with you but I just went to a wedding where the bride and groom has their wedding party at the head table with them as well as their parents. I think if you want to have your parents sitting up there with you, that's fine.

We're having a reception in a couple weeks for about 270 people. We did not have a wedding party, so we will be sitting with our group of close friends. I think you can sit with whoever you want. We will be sitting at a round table, so I guess it's a little different than a head table, but you could arrange it however you like.

My parents are planning my AHR. It's going to be like a traditional wedding reception(which by the way was NOT my idea!). We will be going to sit at a "sweetheart table", just the two of us, even though we have a MOH and best man. Whatever makes my parents happy, LOL. I'm just going with the flow. We'll most likely be only sitting down when we eat, the rest of the time we'll be dancing or mingling

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
