Hapuna Beach Prince Resort

Recommended Posts

I just returned from a wedding on the big Island. We stayed at the Hapuna Beach Prince Resort. GORGEOUS place. It is located about 40 minutes north of the Kona Airport (so about an hour north of Kona Village).

There is a gorgeous spot for weddings and receptions at this hotel. However, my friend had her guests stay here and had her wedding at their sister property called the Mauna Kea Resort (located 1/8 of a mile north). The Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel shuttled everyone there and back. (I will post pics of the Mauna Kea Wedding spot separtely on a differend thread). Here are pictures of the Hapuna Beach Prince (the beach was voted one of the 10 best beaches in the world).

Beautiful pictures of Hapuna Beach hotel!! I'm planning to get married there in Aug. 2009. How were the accommodations? I know this is an older post, but I'm so happy to see that someone on the forum has been there! I'm going to book everything for my little wedding sight-unseen. :)

Do you have any pictures of "Turtle Point" at Hapuna Beach that you might share? Anyhow, I'm happy to have found your post! Best of luck with your babies! Thanks! ~ Lesley

Lesley, I'm getting married at the Hapuna in April. I'm so curious to hear how your experience was! They have a new wedding coordinator now, but I'm curious about Turtle Point, where you had your reception, flowers, food... anything that you think might be helpful! Thanks so much :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
