Always err on the side of conservative.A nice pants suit or skirt and suit jacket with appropriate stockings and you will be fine. Avoid pastels and stick with the muted tones.

I'm a paralegal and work in a court house often, you are fine with either a pant suit or a dress suit. The unwritten rule in a court house is to where a suit jacket, even women because it shows respect to the Judge. But since you are visiting an office within the courthouse I imagine that would be up to you. No open toe shoes. I would go with a brown or navy blue. Keep it conservative, no wild patterns that are distracting. Good Luck I'm sure you'll do great!

I agree with the other posts on here....Pant suit or skirt suit would be very appropriate.
My 2 cents: I would also steer away from wearing strong perfume....the worst would be if your interviewer was allergic or sensitive to what you were wearing.

Damn it! I couldn't find a suit. I went an hour to a bigger town. I tried every store and couldn't find that one that either was in my price range or fit right. Do you think nice slacks and a shirt or a shirt with a vest on top would work??

I think you will be fine in a nice pair of pants and a button up shirt (long sleeve). Good Luck!

Do you have any blazers at all? I work in a courthouse and we can get away with mismatched separates eg. grey pants/black blazer. If you don't have any blazers, what about a sweater set?

Agree with LALA - try to find a jacket/blazer or sweater set. If there is a NY & Company by you, they usually have good stuff at not too bad prices. I also Strongly agree with KAMAY!! - No perfume - I get really bad migraines from perfume and I'll never forget the first person I interviewed in person walking in with a cloud of cologne surrounding him...I couldn't breathe through my nose the entire time! that was 12 years ago.

I agree with most on wearing something simple and professional (pant suits preferred). Clean, polished look is a must too - Another colour option could be navy blue? Good luck!! :)
