Hair Extensions?

I called one of the Salon's in my town to see if they could try putting the clip in ones for me, just so I can see what it looks like. When I tried putting them in myself I hate big bumps everywhere, and it looked silly! I am also getting a "micro-trim" every 4 weeks until my wedding, so my hair stays as healthy as possible, hopefulling making it grow longer *fingers crossed*

I want extensions because I don't think my hair is going to grow out long enough before, but I don't want it to look stupid if I have my sister try and she doesn't know what she's doing.
Some people can easily do it themselves, but I have really thin hair and have a hard time getting right, so I have my sis do it and it looks great!!!! If you get them I would suggest maybe having the salon put them in and bring your MOH or one of the girls so they can show them just how to do it!

I recently had hair extensions (I have very fine/ short hair). My best friend is a hairdresser and needed a model. I lked them, however mine were very long and were hard to manage (very dry). They were real hair, not sure what the deal was. I had them for 3 months, no damage. It depends on how they are put in. They used protein glue for mine. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip. That's a good idea to bring the MOH with to my hair appointment. I am going to have to get my hair and extensions dyed before we go down anyways, since no bride wants skunk hair on her big day :)

I had a low centered do, and I didn't have any problems with them slipping, with headaches, or with them being seen.  I love mine and use them for special occasions still to this day.  I've used them about 5 times since my wedding for updo's, or just when I wanted more volume with my hair down.  If you have short hair, you might be better off with the real extensions though...my hair is as long/longer than my extensions, so I use them for volume only.

I would definitely recommend the clip in human hair extensions.  I have two pairs, for when my hair color changes, and I love them.  Nobody ever realizes that they are extensions until I tell them.  I wear them frequently, and have worn them in two weddings.  I plan to wear them for my own wedding in Nov.  They are great for wearing hear down, but make updos look even better as well.  I went to a wig shop where they custom make them for you.  They were definitely worth the money.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
