Hair Extensions?

Hello,

My hair dresser has suggested that I get hair extensions for my wedding. My hair is extremely fine and hard to grow out. Has anyone had hair extensions? If so, what would you recommend?

Thank you!

I have very fine hair also! It doesn't hold curl or volume! Well unless I have a hairdresser do it! My sister is a hairdresser so she always does my hair. I am having extensions put in my hair for our wedding. Just because of heat and humidity my hair will fall flat. I'm keeping it down so we're putting in extensions. I can't tell you what kind, I will ask her, all I know is that she is getting them from the place that only cosmetologists can get them, and I'm getting them at cost a steal!

I would highly recommend you get real hair extensions and not synthethic hair extensions because they tend to be way too shiny and become obvious that they are fake. I put in some extensions on a really good friend of mine and she had shoulder length hair so I used a bag of long hair and half a bag of medium hair so it would give the illusion of having long layers and she looked fabulous. I glued hers in with some really tacky glue they sell at the beauty supply store which is Anan's Beauty Supply. they even sell a product that you can put in when you are ready to take them off so your hair won't get damaged. My friend looked so beautiful! And to be honest I think we only spent $75 for the 1 1/2 bag of hair, glue, and glue remover and it lasted her for a little over a week. She even had her long hair for most of her honeymoon in hawaii. I highly recommend them as they are not hard to put in at all.

Oh don't get glue honey! I second getting real hair. You can do anything you plan on doing w/ your hair (color, everything). get the clips! If they are put in right you won't even know they are clips and then you can take them out at the end of the day. My sister (the hairdresser) has her own set that when she wants long hair she can have long hair and then you can take them out at the end of the day. they cost the same amount

I've had the "bond" hair extensions twice and I would NOT recommend them for a destination wedding. They would be a nightmare around the beach and pool. I'm considering getting extensions for the wedding but they would definitely be clip-in ones, like the other ladies said.

I had the bonded hair extensions for my wedding. I didnt have any problems with them at all. I went swimming every day in the ocean for two weeks, and they were fine. I also have baby fine hair and left them in for several months, and it didnt ruin my hair at all.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
