i definitely helped my singles work out a roommate situation, but i just don't think the bride should be *expected* to figure it out for them and make all arrangements. i mean, you're saying you *WILL* find them roommates .... what if in the end, you just can't? are you expected to (or would you feel obligated to, at that point) pay the difference between the single & double occupancy for them? i didn't want anyone to have to pay any more than it was already costing, but honestly i wasn't prepared to make up the difference for them either. we put my poor maid of honor in 4 different rooms before she finally got settled ... it was a mess, and i can't imagine doing it for a whole bunch of single guests! so, good luck to you! i hope all your roommate situations work out ... this stuff can get so stressful sometimes! smile03.gif

I just think that you shouldn't put the pressure upon itself to do this for all of the singles... The resort I'm going to doesn't charge extra for a single room so I haven't been faced with that responsibility. I could see how you would want to help out and I think the facebook group thing or email would suffice! Good luck and keep it simple for urself!

I did this for a few of my guests. All I did was email them individually, ask if they wanted to share, then if they said yes give each other their emails. They are adults I'm assuming. You don't have to hand hold them through each step. Just introduce them and let them take it from there.

I really think your best option is to make clear that would would be happy to offer them the contact information of another single guest if they are interested. It helps to offer one you think they will do well with. I have several single guests. I shared with them the contact name and info the other and let my TA know about it as well.

At that point, it was their job, but I did check in via email.

Yeah, I totally don't think you should be *expected* to do this! Trust me, you are going to have enough going on!!!!! I hope it all works out for you.

Two groomsmen and a BM are single and have booked single occupancy. They knew the rates posted on my website were double and not one complained. I've offered to book both guys together but they said no

Thanks everyone. I've just decided to give my single guests contact information for anyone else looking for a roommate. It's too much of a hassle to try to get people matched up especially if they are staying different lengths of time.
