i definitely helped my singles work out a roommate situation, but i just don't think the bride should be *expected* to figure it out for them and make all arrangements. i mean, you're saying you *WILL* find them roommates .... what if in the end, you just can't? are you expected to (or would you feel obligated to, at that point) pay the difference between the single & double occupancy for them? i didn't want anyone to have to pay any more than it was already costing, but honestly i wasn't prepared to make up the difference for them either. we put my poor maid of honor in 4 different rooms before she finally got settled ... it was a mess, and i can't imagine doing it for a whole bunch of single guests! so, good luck to you! i hope all your roommate situations work out ... this stuff can get so stressful sometimes! smile03.gif

I just think that you shouldn't put the pressure upon itself to do this for all of the singles... The resort I'm going to doesn't charge extra for a single room so I haven't been faced with that responsibility. I could see how you would want to help out and I think the facebook group thing or email would suffice! Good luck and keep it simple for urself!

I did this for a few of my guests. All I did was email them individually, ask if they wanted to share, then if they said yes give each other their emails. They are adults I'm assuming. You don't have to hand hold them through each step. Just introduce them and let them take it from there.

I really think your best option is to make clear that would would be happy to offer them the contact information of another single guest if they are interested. It helps to offer one you think they will do well with. I have several single guests. I shared with them the contact name and info the other and let my TA know about it as well.

At that point, it was their job, but I did check in via email.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
