I stayed at the Paradisius about 11 years ago (before it was a Paradisius) and the beach really is fantastic. I think if you want a big all-inclusive resort it's a great option, although I do think it's a good idea to look at other options too. CR is practically the land of the fabulous boutique hotel, and there are a lot of really neat places to go for a very personalized experience :)

Hey Binzer!
I hear you on that - I have been to C.R. and stayed at wonderful boutique hotels but this is my friend's wedding and for them an AI makes a lot of sense so that is what it is.
I am just excited to be able to go back b/c we loved C.R. so much we would like to get a 2nd home there!

Also-do you have any idea how much an average AI week is at the Paradisus?
I'm from Canada, and it's not toooo bad a flight. If I remember correctly it's about 8 hours broken into two 4 hour pieces. The stop-over is usually in Dallas, and if you're really adverse to long flights you could always stay the night there. Regardless, it's worth it!

That's the only complaint I've heard so far from family is that they've heard the flight is bad, but whatever - I'm really excited!!! I totally think it's worth it!! I'm hoping maybe next year we can travel down and do a site visit to see what it's like down there.

Binzer- do you know what the cost is for the paradisus from Canada? I'm trying to keep the cost below $2000.00 a week (or at $2000.00) including the flight.

Thanks again everyone!!!!

Sorry, no idea! It was 11 years ago and we went there on a time share my family had (not to mention that the hotel was under different ownership then). I think it's at least $500/night, although most hotels will give good group discounts, especially if you're having a wedding with them.

I need help!! I was planning on having my wedding at Sandals in Ochio Rios and just recently decided that I wanted to get marriied in Costa Rica.I'm looking at several all inclusive resorts and I'm really leaning towards Paradisus Playa Conchal. I wanted to know if anyone has been married there, and what was your experience like. I also would like to add I Love the pictures that I have seen from both of the photographers in Costa Rica. I'm planning to get married in August 9-16.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
