I've been debating whether or not to get white or clear address labels for our invitations. Our envelopes are white, so I didn't know if it would matter. Also, I plan on printing the writting in a color (not sure which one yet) and was wondering if you can print color on the clear address labels. Are they the same material as the white ones or do you think they will smear?

If anyone has any experiences with this, I would appreciate any help! Thanks so much!! :)

BTW, my mom and I are printing/putting our invitations together this weekend. I'll take pics and post when I'm done! Wooo Hoo!

Have you thought about going with a colored return address label? I used a silver one that I thought looked very nice.

As for the clear labels, yes, you can print color on them. I did that for the address labels for my save-the-dates though I do have to admit that I didn't really like the look of it too much since they were on colored envelopes. Some looked better than others.

I used clear address labels and my inkjet printer printed on them just fine. I used black ink since my envelopes were metallic pink. I think color would be fine too. Just make sure you buy the correct kind of address lables for your printer because they are different for inkjet and laserjet.

hey Lisa,

i just purchased some clear labels from officemax on Sunday-- and it was a little tricky.

the packages are labeled for "laser printer" or "inkjet" but it's in a spot that isn't very obvious. (at least not to me... haha!) with avery brand labels, it was toward the bottom right corner. and i thought they were a little pricey ($12.50 for 300 labels)

i printed black ink on clear labels with my junk $50 printer and they turned out GREAT. i think printing with color ink would be the same.

my only advice to you would be:

if you are printing the addresses of your guests, go for it & print them yourself.

BUT

if you are printing a return address label, purchase them through vista print. you can sometimes get 140 for only the cost of shipping & they can be in full color. i don't know if you can get clear labels from VP, but there are websites where you can find a great price. we used current & got about 300 clear labels with palm trees & cutesy font for about $10, which is cheaper than the print-them-yourself labels.

have fun!

When sending out our STD's I used pink and yellow envelops from Staples and we had ordered return address labels from Vista print that were yellow and blue, and the yellow on pink looked amazing, I would have never thought how they made the envelop look so great. The yellow on yellow also worked well, but the two different colors really was better, so I would suggest experimenting with two colors as it makes it look more interesting.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
